Angie Gilbert dedicated 23 years to teaching in public school classrooms before making a transition to an Educational Service Cooperative (ESC) where she coordinated a mentoring program for novice teachers across eleven school districts. After six years at the co-op, she accepted the role of state mentoring specialist with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). In this position, her primary task is to support mentoring program specialists throughout the state. Angie is now entering her second year with DESE. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) and a Master of Education (MEd) from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.
