This hour-long session will cover federal monitoring requirements for districts that are outsourced with Food Service Management Companies. We will teach attendees the difference in monitoring a Fixed Price versus a Cost Reimbursable contract by demonstrating a step-by-step method to check invoices and backup documentation for each contract type. Some topics of discussion include unallowable expenses, labor reports/timesheets, crediting of USDA donated foods, and meal equivalency calculations.
