Institute Insights: Transforming Education with Farm to School

This presentation will feature past participants from the 2023 Farm to School Institute Teams, who have worked diligently on developing or expanding their school's Farm to School initiatives and school gardens. A member of the USDA's Food and Nutrition Services team will also be joining us to provide valuable insights. This "showcase activity" will highlight the benefits of Farm to School initiatives, the Arkansas Farm to School Institute program, and the Arkansas School Garden Project. Participants will share their experiences and successes, as well as their future plans for the development and expansion of agricultural education programs within their schools, districts, and communities. This presentation aims to inspire and equip other schools with the knowledge and tools to integrate Farm to School initiatives, fostering a deeper connection between students and agriculture.
